Son Varsha Vani is a regional hindi daily newspaper that originated from a visionary idea born on 25th December 1998, in Barun block of Aurangabad, a highly Naxal-affected region of Bihar. The idea was conceptualized and brought to life by Shriram Ambashth, who aspired to contribute to the fourth pillar of democracy – the press.
Starting a daily newspaper from a small town with limited resources was a challenging task. Yet, with relentless dedication, perseverance, and commitment, SHRIRAM AMBASHTH gave a new dimension to regional journalism. Today, Son Varsha Vani stands tall as one of the most respected and widely read local dailies in Bihar & Jharkhand State.
The newspaper is recognized by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) under the Government of India and the Public Relations Department (PRD) of the Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh & Uttrakhand State Government. With a daily circulation of more than 1.50 lakh copies, Son Varsha Vani has become a reliable source of news and updates for readers across Bihar and Jharkhand.
Our 12-page newspaper includes 10 black-and-white pages and 2 colored pages (front and back), and is distributed across multiple districts. Presently, we publish four editions from Aurangabad, Patna, Arrah & Ranchi. Son Varsha Vani is an approved media partner for advertising with DAVP, PRD, Indian Railways, SAIL, NTPC, ESIC, and other government and private entities.
